RESERVATION CONDITIONS - Kalliokumpu Island Lodge

1. SCOPE AND SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These general terms and conditions apply to the booking of accommodation, activities, workshops, excursions, experiences, programs and related additional services, Kalliokumpu Island Lodge, unless a special agreement has been made or the general terms and conditions for the relevant prize product state otherwise before.

2. RESERVATION AND CONFIRMATION

​

When making a reservation you must provide your name, home address, telephone number, credit card number, payment method and arrival time. The reservation is binding as soon as it has been confirmed verbally, in writing or by other means, e.g. by e-mail.

The online booking service sends a booking confirmation to the email address provided by the guest. If the reservation fails or the booking service otherwise malfunctions, Kalliokumpu Island Lodge takes no responsibility. The guest must contact Kalliokumpu Island Lodge immediately to rectify the situation. In such a case, Kalliokumpu Island Lodge cannot guarantee the availability of the accommodation. If the lodge is not vacant, the purchase will be canceled and the payment refunded.

 

Please note that activities & experiences and additional services are only available for guests who have reserved accommodation at Kalliokumpu Island Lodge.

 

3. PAYMENT

​

Accommodation and ancillary services, activities, experiences, workshops, excursions, programs and related ancillary services will be charged at the time of booking. If the booking has not been prepaid, it must be paid upon arrival at Kalliokumpu Island Lodge.

For online bookings we accept payment by bank transfer or any major credit/debit card. On-site payments can be made in cash or via Paypal.

4. GIFT CERTIFICATES

​

A Kalliokumpu Island Lodge Gift Voucher can be used to book accommodation at Kalliokumpu Island Lodge on available dates.

The gift voucher is valid for one year from the date of issue. The gift voucher can only be used once and the full value of the voucher is always used. Partial redemption of the voucher is not possible. The voucher is non-refundable or redeemable for cash or credit and cannot be replaced or refunded if lost, stolen or used. It is not possible to extend the expiry date.

5. ARRIVAL/ DEPARTURE & PERSONAL DETAILS

​

Check-in at Kalliokumpu Island Lodge is from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival.
When checking out on the day of departure, the accommodation must be vacated by 11:00 a.m.

We prefer arrival by 6 p.m. at the latest. A later arrival is possible if you let us know at least one day before your arrival.

In order to stay at Kalliokumpu Island Lodge, each guest must have a valid ID card or passport.
Upon arrival, you must provide your name and the names of all those traveling with you, which will be recorded on the passenger declaration for travelers (according to state regulations for lodging establishments).

6. CANCEL BOOKINGS AND NO SHOWS

​

If you cancel up to 60 days before the arrival date at the latest, we will refund 70% of your booking.
For cancellations 59 - 30 days before arrival, we refund 50% of your booking.
For cancellations 29 - 15 days before arrival, we refund 40% of your booking.
For cancellations 14 - 1 days before arrival, we refund 20% of your booking.
If you cancel your booking on the day of arrival or do not show up at all, the cancellation fee is 100% and we charge the full price of the booking.

Kalliokumpu Island Lodge is not obliged to accept cancellations without penalty, e.g. B. based on a medical certificate or other documentary evidence.

7. REBOOKINGS

​

Rebookings will be charged separately.
You can transfer your stay to family, friends or similar at any time. In this case, write us an email with your name, your request, your booking number and the name of the person or people traveling in your place. The service fee for changes is €25.

8. ACTIVITIES & EXPERIENCES

​

“Activities” and “Experiences” means activities, experiences, workshops, excursions, programs and related ancillary services organized by Kalliokumpu Island Lodge or sold by Kalliokumpu Island Lodge but organized by a third party.

For activities and experiences we meet at Kalliokumpu Island Lodge 15 minutes before the reserved/agreed start time. If you arrive later, you must inform Kalliokumpu Island Lodge. Otherwise your right to the booked activity will be forfeited and Kalliokumpu Island Lodge can resell the activity elsewhere. Even if you do not show up at the agreed time, your entitlement to the activity will be forfeited. The price for the reserved and ordered activity must still be paid and you cannot request a refund of the payment already made.

Despite careful and safe implementation of the activities, accidents involving people and/or damage to property cannot be ruled out. We accept no liability in the event of an accident. Guests participate in activities at their own risk.

​

Guests must inform Kalliokumpu Island Lodge and/or the activity provider of any possible health conditions or allergies and intolerances that may affect or be affected by participation in the activity. For example, if you have health concerns about going into the sauna, ask your doctor beforehand.

​

The program/service provider is only liable for personal injury or damage to property that occurs in the event of an accident and that is caused by the negligence of the program provider itself or its employees or vicarious agents or by the incorrect provision of defective equipment.

The program/service provider shall not be liable for any incidental damage or injury not caused by negligence or defective equipment as mentioned above. These may be reimbursable under the participant's own travel insurance.

Personal travel insurance is always highly recommended for unexpected situations!

If the instructions of the organizer or his assistants are not followed, we shall not be liable.

​

The liability for damages is determined according to the general principles of damages.

​

9. CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM ​

 

All of our activities and experiences are outdoor or open-air programs that are generally carried out in any weather. However, should it not be possible to carry out the booked program properly on the day of the program due to force majeure (thunderstorm, ice, strong wind and gusts from 5 Bft., heavy rain) or should the performance endanger or impair people, an alternative offer will be made.

10. THE BEHAVIOR OF GUESTS IN THE LODGE

​

Smoking is not permitted in the buildings and tents of the lodge, as well as on the lodge ground and in the forest.

​

At Kalliokumpu Island Lodge and during your stay, we pay attention to good manners and rules of order. All guests must behave in such a way that other guests are not disturbed and the smooth operation of the lodge can be guaranteed. The regulations of the operators and/or employees of Kalliokumpu Island Lodge must be followed. If you do not comply with these rules, you may be asked to leave the lodge immediately. In this case, you will have to pay for your accommodation and any additional services ordered, and payments already made will not be refunded to you.


Guests are responsible for the cleanliness of Kalliokumpu Island Lodge, its premises and tented accommodation, including the grounds/yard, especially the woodcuisine (outdoor forest kitchen) and the disposal of all rubbish after the rental period has expired.


With regard to the wood cuisine, the use of the outdoor kitchen is permitted to each guest at their own risk (for a fee of 10 € a day), provided that it does not have to be available for another event at Kalliokumpu Island Lodge. After use, each guest is obliged to leave the kitchen and cooking utensils, tables and benches clean and to dispose of the rubbish separately (waste separation containers are available on the premises).


If the guest has failed to clean the premises, Kalliokumpu Island Lodge will charge the full cleaning cost. The cleaning fee is 75€/h.

An open fire may only be lit at the designated fireplace. You may only use the fireplace with the wood provided (Kalliokumpu Island Lodge provides wood). In gusts of wind and when there is a risk of public forest fires, use of the fireplace is prohibited.

11. ADDITIONAL SERVICES/ ACCOMMODATION CLEANING

​

You can book additional services for your stay, such as additional cleaning. Only the final cleaning is included in the price. The tent accommodations are to be left swept clean. Final cleaning is included in the price.

12. CUSTOMER'S LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES

​

As a guest, you are liable for any damage caused intentionally or accidentally by you, your guest/companion or your pet in the buildings/tents or on the grounds of Kalliokumpu Island Lodge. This also applies to the furniture and other equipment of Kalliokumpu Island Lodge. Kalliokumpu Island Lodge has the right to charge for any damage caused by the guest. Our lodge is like your home, please treat everything with respect!


The liability for damages is determined according to the general principles of damages.

Should the guest notice any damage or anything inappropriate at Kalliokumpu Island Lodge, the operators and/or employees of the lodge must be informed immediately.

13. RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR VALUABLES

​

Kalliokumpu Island Lodge is not responsible for any damage or disappearance of valuables during your stay.

Please take care of your belongings.

Kalliokumpu Island Lodge is not responsible for any damage or disappearance of vehicles parked on its premises or items left in the vehicle.

14. INSURANCE

​

We recommend that all our guests take out travel cancellation and travel health insurance to cover all eventualities.

​

15. PETS

​

Pets are not welcome in the buildings and tented accommodation due to allergies, to respect the tranquility and out of consideration for the needs of other guests. Please let us know when you make your reservation that you have a pet and speak to us in advance about staying at Kalliokumpu Island Lodge with a pet.

16. TERMINATION BY SERVICE PROVIDER

​

Kalliokumpu Island Lodge reserves the right to cancel a booking due to force majeure (the lodge may not be able to provide the agreed services due to a factor affecting its operation, e.g. strike, fire, water damage, natural disaster, state of war, personal illness, etc . not provide). In these cases, the guest will be refunded the booking fee. The reservation can also be transferred to another accommodation of at least the same standard (in this case, the matter will be agreed between the inn and the customer).

17. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

​

The parties will try to resolve any disputes arising from the agreement through mutual negotiations. If no agreement is reached, the guest can bring the matter before the consumer arbitration board or a district court in Berlin. The contract is subject to German law.


 

Kalliokumpu Island Lodge reserves the right to change the conditions.
